As City Farm was created as a youth project, there has been a
strong involvement from primary and high school students since it's
inception.
Custom tours and workshops are on offer for school groups
looking to experience and help in degraded land rehabilitation,
recycling, permaculture gardening, environmental and social issues.
Though we are popular with primary schools, we have covered learning
outcomes for year 11's & 12's, its just a matter of letting us
know what you want to workshop.
The Farm itself is an exciting working example of how to minimise our impact on the earth through composting, worm farming, permaculture gardens and the creation of habitats for native flora and fauna such as frogs and insects.

When groups have a function at the farm, they often request a tour to be organised as a nice way to begin, no matter what the theme of the function.
As City Farm develops, we will increasingly cater for the tourist industry with Organic Cafe and art for sale. Of course, self guided tours are free and the community garden is always available for people to use. There may be someone willing to show you around if you just drop in, but they probably have other work to do too! If you do want a guided tour, then please do book ahead by calling the farm on 9325 7229. A fee is negotiable for groups and special tours.
