City Farm is at the end of Lime st, East Perth, and is directly next to the Claisebrook railway station.
Perth's free Yellow CAT bus service takes you to City Farm.
It's fine to drop in for a self guided tour, but if you would like to speak to the staff, this is possible by appointment only. For schools, tourist, corporate and other groups, we also offer tours and workshops. [Click for more info]
Work for the Dole and Volunteering
It is often said that people are what we grow most of at the farm. By working co-operatively, a great deal of skills sharing and experiential learning happens as well as formal training by the Farm supervisors and special guests which get involved from time to time.
We are open to everyone regardless of history, so long as we all understand that City Farm operates on permaculture principles and on the basis of respect and love for every one and everything at the farm.
*NB Supervised work is only possible on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays though there is a watering and feeding the animals roster which needs to be filled for everyday of the year. We need more help over the summer holidays than at any other time.
Signing on for Work for the Dole, community service, work release or volunteering is a formal process and entails a full farm orientation and Occupational Health and Saftey induction. Please contact the managers to arrange this, or get specific information relating to all workplace activities and to book an appointment for signing on.
